Iraqi Peace Activist Forced To Change Tshirt Before Boarding Plane
Harry S. Truman
On a trip back from the Middle East, Iraqi blogger and activist Raed Jarrar was not allowed to board a flight at JFK airport because he was wearing a T-Shirt that said "We will not be silent" in English and Arabic. Representatives of Jet Blue Airways forced him to change his T-Shirt saying wearing it was like "going to a bank with a T-Shirt reading 'I am a robber." Democracy Now
When is this madness going to stop? This is a violation of the First Amendment and Jet Blue need to be ashamed of themselves. Writing on T-Shirts is now a terrorist weapon? Do me a favour.
Thomas Jefferson stated "A little patience, and we shall see the reign of witches pass over, their spells dissolve, and the people, recovering their true sight, restore their government to its true principles. It is true that in the meantime we are suffering deeply in spirit, and incurring the horrors of a war and long oppressions of enormous public debt. If the game runs sometimes against us at home we must have patience till luck turns, and then we shall have an opportunity of winning back the principles we have lost, for this is a game where principles are at stake"
America, home of the brave, land of the free. Are you awake yet?
